Dr. Greg McDaniel
Dr. Greg McDaniel has been practicing veterinary medicine in Central Indiana since 1994. He developed his love for animals growing up in Rockford, Illinois and went on to obtain his degree in veterinary medicine at the University of Illinois in 1994. Dr. McDaniel began his career at Village Park Animal Hospital in Carmel. Four years later he moved on to Northwood Veterinary Hospital in Anderson where he spent 10 years refining his skills in surgery, internal medicine, and emergency medicine.
Dr. McDaniel currently lives in Noblesville with his wife Sara (also a veterinarian) and their three children Samuel, Megan, and Ben. They share their home with two crazy little Miniature Australian Shepherds named Ace and Blue. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well as traveling, cycling, running, fishing, kayaking, walking Ace and Blue, and cheering on the Colts and the Fighting Illini.
Dr. Clark Bassett
Dr. Clark Bassett is a lifelong resident of Central Indiana. He grew up in Anderson, then attended Purdue University, graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. After graduation, Dr. Bassett practiced in Eastern Iowa and worked on many different kinds of animals (dogs, cats, cattle, pigs, horses, sheep, etc.). In 1991, he returned to Indianapolis and began a career in emergency practice. He was a staff veterinarian at the Animal Emergency Clinic in Castleton from 1991 to 1998, and manager of the practice beginning in 1995. Dr. Bassett then started the emergency service at the Northwood Veterinary Hospital in 1998, under the guidance of owner Dr. Timothy Lee, and was the director of this service until 2002. He remained a staff emergency veterinarian at Northwood until 2013. Since starting the Hazel Dell Animal Hospital with Dr. McDaniel in 2002, Dr. Bassett has worked primarily in general practice, providing medical and surgical care to dogs and cats and other assorted small furry creatures.
Dr. Bassett and his family moved to Carmel in 2000 and share their home with furry family members, dogs Oscar and Theo, and cats Lovey, Dwight (named after a character on “The Office”), and Denzel (named after Denzel Washington). Dr. B has many interests and pursuits, including reading, music, fishing, travel, and fitness. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Pamela Cross
Dr. Pamela Cross was born and raised in Ellicott City, Maryland. Growing up, she spent a lot of time with both horses and dogs. It was in third grade that she decided that she wanted to become a veterinarian. After obtaining her Small Animal Science degree from Delaware Valley College in 2003, she attended the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine for her veterinary degree. It was there, on the first day of class that she met her soon to be husband, Randy. After graduating in 2007, Dr. Cross spent 4 years working as an associate veterinarian at a 5 doctor small animal hospital in New Jersey. In 2011, she and her husband (also a Veterinarian) moved to Carmel. She spent 4 years working as an associate veterinarian for VCA before deciding to join the family at Hazel Dell in the Fall of 2015.
Dr. Cross lives in Carmel with her husband Randy and their two young daughters Scarlett and Hazel. They have two very sweet dogs: Nermal, a Beagle mix and Captain Barnacles, a Jack Russell. In her free time, she enjoys walking, cooking, traveling, and riding her horse (Wizzard). Dr. Cross has always valued the human-animal bond and the significance it can bring to people’s lives. She is very excited to be a part of our Animal Hospital and looks forward to meeting you and your furry family members.
Dr. Annadele Harris
Dr. Annadele Harris was born and raised in South Bend, IN. Her love of animals was fostered early, but her love of the veterinary profession came about after her family veterinarian helped comfort her through the loss of her first pet. She decided to become a veterinarian so that she could also provide that level of care and compassion. Dr. Harris completed a bachelors degree in Animal Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Purdue University. Despite the challenges of graduating at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, she is excited to be starting her career as part of the Hazel Dell Animal Hospital team, where she can practice high quality medicine alongside wonderful people. Dr. Harris loves getting to know her patients and looks forward to developing great relationships with her clients. She and her partner, Conlin, live together in Irvington with their growing family of 4 rescue pets – two dogs, Rowan and Tyr, and two cats, Archer and Clíona. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, and figure skating. Dr. Harris looks forward to being a part of the Hazel Dell family and getting to know you and your pets!
