Joanna is our office manager here at Hazel Dell. She started working in the veterinary field in 1996. She soon discovered that this was the path for her. She studied Veterinary Technology at the College of Southern Nevada while living in Las Vegas for two years. She joined Hazel Dell in January of 2011. You will find her ready to jump in and quickly help in any way that she can. She is a joy to have on the Hazel Dell Team. Joanna lives in Noblesville with her husband Damon and her son Derek. They share their home with two cats, Biscuit & Brooksie and Gypsy, the lazy pitty.
Cindy has been with HDAH since the grand opening. She plays an intricate role in the daily operations of Hazel Dell. She too has a large furry family. Her cats include Jabber, Winston, and newest kitty addition Zeva, followed by Maggie, her sweet dog. Cindy even has some llamas named Cara and Cleo, as well as horses named Zoe and Belle. Cindy can be found frequenting the lobby passing out kisses and treats to our patients and keeping our hospital running at it’s best!
Dee Ann has been part of the Hazel Dell Team since July 2005. Dee Ann is usually the person who will greet you upon your arrival with a warm smile. She is an appointment-making, information-giving, and question-answering extraordinaire. She loves to spend time with her pets Rocco the Shepard/Husky mix, Willie the Beagle, and Bob the cat. She also loves her Paint Horse named Charlie. She is truly a favorite here among the clients and our staff.
Kathy is one of Hazel Dell’s Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT). As a child Kathy wanted to be a Veterinarian, but when she got older, she realized that nursing care sounded way more fun! She has been with our team since March of 2016 and graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in Indianapolis in 2009. She has ten years of experience in small animal medicine, seven focusing in emergency care. Kathy lives with her husband James, daughter Eleanor and their cats Oliver and Griselda. She hopes to add a dog to the mix sometime soon. Kathy takes pride in our gold ranking with the American Association of Feline Practitioners for cat friendly practices; and advocating for our feline friends. You can often find Kathy loving on our cat patients.
Brittany went to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College where she competed in intercollegiate horseback riding. She graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Equine Science with a focus on Reproduction. She started her veterinary career in the Large Animal field before transitioning to companion animal medicine. She’s had animals of varying sizes all of her life- everything from gerbils to Quarter horses. At a very young age she knew that caring for animals was her passion. Brittany came to HDAH in the spring of 2016 when she and her husband, Adam relocated to the area from South Bend. Having a fascination with Greek Mythology her family is completed with Calypso (Caly) a Corgi mix, Eros and Apollo two DLH brothers, Brisuis a Calico, and Rocky a Rottweiler mix. She plans on getting more horses in the future. In her free time Brittany loves to bake, read, relax with her ‘beasties’, dig in the garden, and do a variety of other outdoor activities.
Pamela joined Hazel Dell as a veterinary assistant in October of 2018. She graduated from Harrison College with an Associate in Applied Science Degree. Pamela lives at home with her son, Isaac, and her three Chihuahuas, Howard, Violet, and Theodore. In her spare time, Pamela enjoys crafting and watching The Office, Golden Girls, and Bob’s Burgers.
Emily recently joined the Hazel Dell staff in October of 2018. She has lived in Carmel, Indiana her whole life and attended Westfield Washington High School. She attended Purdue University and graduated in 2017 with a bachelors degree in Animal Sciences with a concentration in behavior and well being. Emily started working in the animal industry when she started her own pet sitting business at the age of 13 and has enjoyed every minute of it. Since then, she has been involved in multiple internships and jobs that deal with different animal species including being an intern zookeeper at the Indianapolis Zoo. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, attending sporting events, crafting, and being involved in theater. She is a member of the Grace Church drama team and can be frequently found engaging in plays and musicals there. Emily has two male tuxedo cats named George and Louie whom she frequently refers to as King George and Prince Louie.
Before coming to Hazel Dell in 2019, Brittney graduated from International Business College & Vet Tech Institute in 2014. She went on to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in 2015. Her professional interests include surgery and dentistry and she hopes to pursue a Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) in dentistry. Brittney lives at home with her boyfriend, Zach, stepdaughter, McKenna, their Corgi, Milo and Australian Shepherd, Apollo. In her free time, Brittney enjoys off-roading in the Jeep, reading, fishing, and spending time with family.
Katie joined the Hazel Dell staff in August of 2019. She lives in Carmel with her boyfriend, Corbin, along with their 14-year-old black Lab, Lucy, and 4-year-old Pit Bull, Moxxi. Katie and Corbin enjoy hiking on the weekends with Moxxi and mid-afternoon snuggles with Lucy. Katie is currently a Biology major soon to begin her animal science degree to study pathology or post-surgical rehabilitation. In her free time, Katie likes to play video games, read, and cook.
Kaitlyn grew up with her 6 siblings in Cicero, IN and has always had a passion for animals. While attending high school, Kaitlyn was a percussionist in the marching band and was a foster for a local canine rescue. After graduating, she started her career as a veterinary assistant in 2014. She plans to finish her schooling and obtain her master’s degree in petroleum geology. Kaitlyn currently lives with her boyfriend and their Black Lab, Sadie and Yellow Lab, Lincoln. In her spare time, Kaitlyn enjoys going to sporting events (specifically for the Colts, Pacers, and University of Michigan), going to concerts, and spending time with her niece and nephew. She also loves dolphins.
Bryana joined Hazel Dell in the summer of 2020. When she isn’t assisting clients, Bryana studies social work at IUPUI and in her spare time, she loves reading and watching Rom-coms. Bryana currently lives in Indianapolis with her husband, Zaccai, and their daughter, Zuri.
Kayla joined the Hazel Dell team in August of 2020. She attended Harrison College where she received her Associates Degree of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology, soon to be an RVT. Her favorite subjects to study were pathology and parasitology. In her free time, she likes to hike, play video games, or lounge around the house with her “lap dog” Great Dane, Gabbie.
Jessica joined the Hazel Dell staff in November of 2020. She graduated from The International Business College and Vet Tech Institute in 2013, and became an RVTin December of 2013. Her personal interests include surgery and venipuncture. Jessica currently resides in Indianapolis with her finace Andy, her stepdaugher Cherylyn, her son Sam and their two year old cat named Pip. In her free time, Jessica likes to go fishing, line dancing, swimming, and spending time with her family.
Taylor graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in 2012. She lives in Noblesville with her husband Jake and their two kids Landon (son) and Hayden (daughter). They have two cats named Salem and Dexter. Taylor has a soft spot for black kitties. In her free time, Taylor likes to go traveling, hiking, kayaking and visiting museums with her family.
